Rosey Jackson born in Glasgow , Scotland .
Born into a second generation Irish family from Donegal and Kerry .
Danced An Comhdhail until the age of 16 .She went off to University in Glasgow to study Law . Worked as a lawyer for 20 years specialising in Child Protection and Human Rights .
As a working Mother with children involved in Irish Dancing, Rosey recognised an opportunity to have a better work life balance and work in an environment she loved. She saw that there was a gap in the Irish Dancing market .
Professionally she had met and grown friendships with people all over the World as a Human Rights lawyer. She decided to take a leap of faith and have some of her ideas sampled. Rosey reached out to her friend in China and together they produced an introductory range. This range was received so positively that she decided to develop the idea further .
This was the start of Camelia Rose. Meaning behind the brand name, Camelia is the Chinese Rose. Rosey felt it imperative to give homage to her Chinese business partner and best friend. Over the last 11 years Rosey has grown Camelia Rose to be a globally recognised brand in the Irish Dancing community .
Rosey continues to innovate and design quality products with the dancer at the heart of all she does. Rosey’s daughters now have their distinct and individual roles within the Camelia Rose organisation.
